Holly Whiteside – MindfulCaregiving Guide
The present moment is the only point in which we can change anything. Gentle increase in mindfulness can give caregivers access to a more balanced and peaceful experience of caregiving. Holly brings her a 20-years of life coaching to the aid of caregivers with MindfulCaregiving, an emotional survival toolkit. MindfulCaregiving principles are shared in her books, “The Caregiver’s Compass”, “Exploring Hell and Other Warm Places”, and “The Caregiver’s Reader”. Holly is also a certified Eden Alternative Associate, a long term care Ombudsman, and is on the board of the New Hampshire Coalition for Culture Change.
Cindy Laverty – Action Coach
Cindy’s mission is to create a nation of empowered family caregivers who are knowledgeable, confident, strong, compassionate and healthy. Cindy is the founder of The Care Company which provides caregivers with practical answers to the challenges they face, as well as articles dealing with the tough decisions family caregivers make every day. She is a nationally recognized caregiving expert, speaker, senior-care commentator, author, and caregiver coach. “Managing the caregiver journey is determined by how we show up in life”, says Laverty. Her book Caregiving Eldercare Made Clear & Simple, is a poignant, clear, and complete roadmap for baby boomers navigating the senior care journey.
Kathie Nitz – Relationships Coach
Kathie is a trained life & relationship coach and a Certified Senior Advisor who skillfully helps you to navigate the challenges of eldercare. As a caregiver to a mom with dementia for the past nearly 10 years, Kathie leverages her coaching skills and personal experiences to teach caregivers how to manage caregiving relationships from a stronger, healthier and more capable place. Understanding the role and recognizing choices helps her clients to communicate well, embracing the journey with less emotional drain, and finding the many gifts within the challenges. During her journey with her mother, Kathie invented Caring Cards, a tool to promote meaningful connection between caregivers and their loved ones, and to preserve legacy.
